Easy Fall Leaf Art Lesson for Kids

A stamp painting fall themed project for 1st grade.

 

Step 1: Trace leaf shape onto paper. 

 

Step 2: Use a round sponge or Q-tip to stamp paint dots

 

Step 3: Add more fall themed paint dots inside the leaf.

Examples show orange, green, red, and yellow paint.

 

Step 4: Fill up the entire leaf shape with painted dots.

(try not to over blend or mix colors)

 

Step 5: Let dry, then cut out leaf and "veins".

(label the back of the cutout pieces,

so you'll know which piece goes where)

Step 6: Glue the cutout pieces onto a background paper,
leaving a gap between each piece.

Let dry flat and enjoy!
